- Learning Paths - A series of courses or content designed to provide a sequential learning experience around a specific topic or skill.

The AVEVA Learning Academy (ALA) is a new training platform recently launched (2024) by the AVEVA Customer Education Services (previously known as AVEVA Training Services).
It features a modern, intuitive interface that makes it easier than ever to find and enrol for courses.
All AVEVA product training courses and certifications are now available in the AVEVA Learning Academy. This includes eLearning, training guides, classroom training courses, and certification exams previously offered through the AVEVA Software Training portal, as well as all content from the PI System Learning Platform (OSI Learning).
There are two forms of navigation in each eLearning course:
Lessons: Every course has a menu/utility bar where you can navigate to parts of the course and can view your progress.
Next and previous buttons: Each course has Next and Previous buttons situated just above the content area. Each button will allow you to move forward and backward through the course pages. If the content is a video, a slider bar will allow you to move forwards and backwards through the video.

Once enrolled for a virtual classroom training, you will receive the registration confirmation email with meeting invite to save the date in your calendar. You will also receive reminder emails from AVEVA Learning Academy, 14, 7, and 3 business days in advance with meeting join links.
Once the VM (a Virtual Machine with Learning Lab environment) has been provisioned for you, you will also receive separate email from Skytap Course Manager (donotreply@skytap-portal.com) with course start date and time, instructions to access the Virtual Environment, Skytap Access Requirements, and the connectivity checker a week in advance and another reminder email few days ahead of the course start date.
For Private ILT, you will receive the course meeting join link and VM information one week in advance, provided the details are correct.

Preparing for the Exam
- How do I prepare for my exam?
- Can I find out how many questions there will be?
- How are the exams administered?
- How much time will I have to complete the exam?
The exams are designed around the relevant courses such as classroom training, eLearning, and eLearning +Plus content. Read the exam description before you enrol to help you prepare for the exam. Completion of the related courseware is expected.
In addition, a relevant amount of practical experience in design, configuration, debugging, and maintenance of the products is expected.
Each exam consists of 80 to 100 multiple-choice questions. The questions for all exams are generated from an extensive database and randomized.
The certification exams and administration are Web-based, and results will be displayed immediately.
All exams allow a certain maximum amount of time in which to complete your exam. The available time is fixed for each exam (between one (1) and six (6) hours).
The available time is indicated by an onscreen counter/clock in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
Exam Scoring
- How are exam results calculated?
- What is the passing grade?
- If I do not pass, what can I do?
- When will I receive my certificate?
- What can I do if I have a grievance with an exam question or my grade?
There is no penalty for guessing. If you select an incorrect answer, you simply do not receive mark(s) for that question.
If a question specifies that you must select all answers that apply, you must choose all the correct answers to earn mark(s) for that question.
The passing grade for exams ranges from 70-80% depending on the exam.
To improve your performance, we recommend that you further practice and study the skills covered in the exam. Remember to complete the relevant product trainings. When you are ready to retake the exam, enrol again.
Once you have passed each exam, you will receive the certificate automatically generated from the system and available for download from your ALA Learner Dashboard.
There may be situations where candidates might wish to dispute either specific questions or their overall grading. The following procedures will apply.
The candidate can express their complaints or concerns to our team at AVEVATraining@aveva.com. Our team will investigate and respond within four weeks with a final assessment which cannot be contested further.
